Methacrylate-based resins are a type of material commonly used in construction and civil engineering applications. These resins are highly versatile and can be utilized for various purposes, including:

Permeation grouting: This involves injecting the resin into the ground to create a barrier that controls the flow of water or other fluids. Methacrylate-based resins are ideal for this purpose in very fine sands, as they can permeate through soil and fill voids, creating a stable and waterproof barrier.

Consolidation grouting: This involves injecting the resin into the soil to bind particles together, resulting in a denser and more stable soil. This technique is useful in preventing soil settlement and can also improve the load-bearing capacity of the ground. Methacrylate-based resins are particularly effective in very fine sands, where other types of grouts may not be suitable.

In addition to these uses, methacrylate-based resins are also commonly used in crack sealing, soil stabilization and ground improvement projects.
