Water Sealing of Lock
New lock in Terneuzen, The Netherlands
ADCOS’ long-term Belgian partner faced multiple waterproofing problems in the New lock in Terneuzen, Netherlands. Monitoring wells that needed to be sealed at 46 meters below sea-level, a leaking sheet pile wall and sealing problems at the joints of the diaphragm wall.
A by the applicator in-house developed technique, injecting a combination of two 1-component and water reactive polyurethane injection resins, was used in this sealing project.
“We are not only working with ADCOS because of their superior materials, but mostly because of our partnership. We are looking for added value, 1+1=3, otherwise there is no point. Our activities take place outside normal working hours and if we need ADCOS, they are there for us. That is partnership!”, says the ADCOS’ partner.
